As a female British voice over artist, with 25 years experience for the BBC, ITV and a range of commercial and corporate clients, I get a kick out of bringing a script alive, and I’d love to work with you to add clarity, class and credibility to your project, big or small.

ABOUT MY VOICE OVER WORK...

I’ve recorded a series of explainer films for Clearblue, extensive e-learning programmes for Unilever, British Gas, and JLL Property (over many years), the MOD and NHS Choices, charity films, IVR messages, in-flight announcements , and national commercial campaigns for clients such as Bravissimo, Promensil and 118118.

And I’ve been the voice of criminologists and witnesses in some rather gruesome real life crime documentaries for the CI Channel.

I’m passionate about story-telling, so I love narrating documentaries. I was nominated in the prestigious One Voice Awards 2020 for Best Performance in TV Narration for Royals on the Frontline (a 3-parter, also called Windsors at War) for Yesterday (UKTV), about the close relationship between the British Royal family and the armed forces, was sold around the world in 2019, as was The World’s Most Incredible Hotels (13-parter), and, a few years earlier, Heir we go Again, about royal baby Princess Charlotte. And for ITV I’ve fronted and voiced 4 factual series (The Flying Winemakers, Taste of the South, Cathedral Cities and By Royal Appointment) and narrated another, Vicars' Wives.

I work with Discovery Education on their videos for primary/secondary schools, and have, for over a decade, been the voice of global TV channel BBC World News, now BBC NEWS - read more about 20 years as a continuity announcer on my TV page.

I have recorded an audiobook Will I be fat in heaven? And other curious questions… by J.John, and I’m the voiceover for The J John Podcast.

My voice has been described as trustworthy, natural, conversational, classy, friendly, calm, authoritative, encouraging, warm, engaging, upbeat. I like to think some of those apply to me, and the way I work, too!

I live just outside London, so can easily pop into town to a studio of your choice, but for maximum flexibility and a quick turnaround, book me direct to record in my home studio, which, I’m delighted to be able to say, is powered by 100% renewable electricity, through the lovely people at Octopus!
